I am a 55 year old woman who has been active most of her life. A few years ago, I was speed walking 5-6 km at least 5 days a week, and then I started having problems with my knees and ankles. I had to cut back and eventually quit speed walking. I learned I had a type of arthritis known as Calcium Pyrophosphate Deposition in all my joints. It resulted in inflammation, pain, and stiffness.
I was trying several different forms of exercise and machines (treadmills, ellipticals, low resistance machines) to replace the walking. This along with medication allowed me to do some regular activity without swelling, but I still suffered stiffness and pain.
I started taking Treadmill Classes at LiquidGym in March 2014 and have noticed an improvement in my mobility and strength. The degree of pain and stiffness I suffer has decreased and occurs less often. I have been able to increase my outdoor walking and exercises.
Thank-you, LiquidGym!
