Reflexologist

Our reflexology services are provided by our reflexologist, Olena Soloshenko,

My interest in reflexology began 16 years ago when my daughter was born. At that time, I had a background in psychology, but it was not enough to address the health issues my child was facing. My daughter was born hyperactive and had trouble sleeping. As a result, I started exploring all available methods to calm her nervous system. That’s how I discovered reflexology, which proved to be very effective. I learned the techniques used in my country, Ukraine. My parents, who are doctors, often use various reflexology tools in their daily lives.

Six years ago, I decided to pursue a new profession in naturopathy (alternative medicine) and reflexology as its practical component.

What is reflexology?

Reflexology is a manual technique based on an ancient understanding that the entire body system is reflected in zones and points on the feet and hands. Reflexologists use their own hands to apply pressure or to stimulate specific areas. Reflexologists use foot maps that illustrate points that correspond to certain areas of the body. These points are believed to link with certain organs or other parts of the body.

There are some heart conditions in which reflexology may be contraindicated or require special caution.

These conditions include:

  1. Acute heart failure: Reflexology may increase the workload on the heart, so it is advisable for individuals with acute heart failure to avoid it.
  2. Myocardial infarction (heart attack): In the period after a heart attack, reflexology may cause increased blood pressure or cardiac rhythm disturbances, so it is important to consult with a doctor before starting sessions.
  3. Severe heart arrhythmias: If there are serious disruptions in heart rhythm, reflexology may be contraindicated or require special caution.

In any case, it is recommended to consult with a doctor before starting reflexology procedures, especially if you have heart problems or other chronic conditions. A doctor will be able to assess your condition and provide recommendations regarding reflexology.
