Simon gained his degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and spent many years working in the IT field as both a systems administrator and customer service manager. Throughout his life he has always had a passion for sports with many competitive achievements in swimming and soccer. After taking time to be a stay-at- home dad to his two children he is now pursuing that passion; Simon is an NCCP triathlon coach, swimming coach and has just taken his canfitpro PTS course.
Simon has competed in the Canadian Masters National Swimming Championships, Fina Masters Swimming World Championships and was part of Team Canada for the ITU Triathlon Age-Group World Championships for Sprint and Olympic distance. Simon has also successfully completed running races from 5k to marathons, 3km open water swims, half and full Ironman triathlons and had overall wins at several local triathlons.
In his spare time, Simon enjoys playing at home with his children, swimming in the local lakes, bike rides on the local trails, downhill and cross-country skiing.
